Founded in 1911 by Mose and John Keim, Keim is a fourth-generation family-owned business that has grown from a small lumber mill, employing just four people, into one of the region’s premier suppliers of building materials, tools, and woodworking products. What began as Keim Bros. more than a century ago has evolved into a trusted destination for DIY homeowners, professional contractors, furniture makers, and manufacturers seeking quality products and expert service.

The Keim Computer Learning Center, located at the company’s flagship home center and company headquarters in Charm, provides business owners, employees, and community members with free access to training, educational programs, and technology. Through Keim Cares, the company’s charitable organization, Keim also supports high school seniors with educational opportunities and helps improve housing for community members in need.
More than a century after its founding, Keim continues to demonstrate that business success and community stewardship go hand in hand. Its sustained growth, commitment to innovation, and dedication to serving others have made Keim not only a respected industry leader, but also a valued community partner. The Holmes County Economic Development Council is proud to recognize Keim as one of Holmes County’s enduring business success stories and looks forward to its continued growth and leadership for generations to come.
